David Burnside is Partner, Head of Business Development at Arcmont Asset Management and co-Head for Nuveen Private Capital. Between 2010 and 2013, David was Head of Alternatives at BlueBay Asset Management and led the fundraising for Direct Lending Fund I at the launch of the BlueBay Private Debt business. He re-joined the business when Arcmont became independent in 2019.
From 2013 to 2018, David was a partner at hedge fund Finisterre Capital, latterly as COO. Previously, David was Head of European Sales at FRM and at GSAM’s Hedge Fund Strategies.
In 1997, David established the first Capital Introduction product at a Prime Broker, at Goldman Sachs. He worked as a lawyer at Morgan Stanley after qualifying as a solicitor at Freshfields, in London and Paris.
David graduated from Cambridge University in Law in 1988.
